United Arab Emirates gives a message of tolerance, co-existence, peace and moderation to the world and tourists as well as business community from all over the world visit the UAE every year to enjoy its rich touristic spots, culture, tourist-friendly environment, shopping and state-of-the-art world class facilities.
Today, the UAE passport is the world’s most powerful travelling document surpassing even Germany and Singapore.
These and many other positive things were shared with the guests at a reception hosted by the UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Alzaabi on the country’s 48th anniversary of the UAE National Day.
Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar was the chief guest on the occasion while politicians from both sides of the divide in the Parliament including Special Assistant to PM on Information & Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, Deputy Speaker in the National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri and former Interior Minister Rehman Malik attended the ceremony.
Besides, notable personalities of the town, diplomats, intellectuals and members of civil society were also there to meet and greet Brother Hamad Obaid Alzaabi on the auspicious occasion.
The year 2019 has been designated as the Year of Tolerance and the UAE has set an example of tolerance and mutual co-existence before nations of the world, said a representative of the Embassy while delivering a welcome speech on the occasion.
She particularly mentioned the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020 to be held next year for 173 days consecutively. The expo will be first ever that will attract millions of visitors and investors and will showcase top brands of not only the UAE but leading world companies and brands, she said.
Today, UAE is celebrating a journey of development based on principles of harmony and tolerance, she said and attributed these milestones to the visionary leadership of the Emirates and their forward looking approach.
Earlier a cake was cut and national anthems of the UAE and Pakistan were played. Later the guests were served with the Arabian, continental and Italian food.
